Having an organized financial life can save you from a lot of stress. It can also let you see your financial situation more clearly—and that can help you make better decisions about your money.
So how do you get started?
Since so much of our life is online nowadays, you can start with your digital documents. You’ll want to save them in a central location, like a flash drive or a cloud-based program. And make sure you use a secure password to protect your files; even better, use a password manager so that you can create complex passwords without relying on your memory.
For paper documents, you’ll want the same thing: a secure, centralized location that you can easily access.
