Since our firm is partially owned by and was born from an accounting firm, building an integrated tax and investment plan is important to us. Tax planning is a significant factor in overall investment performance, as taxes and fees meaningfully affect total portfolio return.

We work closely with our affiliated accountants or an outside accountant with whom a client has an existing relationship. Throughout the year, we continuously review your portfolio to consider:

  • Capital gains/losses – realized or unrealized
  • Placement of investments – whether in taxable or tax-deferred/free accounts
  • The relationship your investing with us has on investments held by you personally.
