- What makes Boeckermann, Grafstrom & Mayer Wealth Management different?

Service - We focus our services on providing clients with all the solutions needed. The owners of our firm are also owners of an accounting firm (Boeckermann, Grafstrom & Mayer P.A.) and a trust company (Cornerstone Private Asset Trust Company, LLC). These relationships allow us to coordinate clients' needs, saving them time and effort.
Ownership – We are independently owned by persons who want to remain owners. We have no intentions of joining a large, national firm in which a client becomes a number instead of a relationship.
Independence – Since we are independently owned, we are free to find the solutions needed, with no proprietary products to push.
Experience – Our professionals continue to work at becoming the best at what they do. That means that time spent in the business is not enough. We want all professionals to become licensed in their specialty (Certified Financial Planner - CFP®, Certified Public Accountant – CPA, or Chartered Financial Analyst – CFA).
- Who will I work with in your office?

Each client will work with at least one shareholder of the firm. Depending on his or her needs, other professionals and staff may also be working with the client too. At the end of the day, however, we would always encourage you to contact a shareholder. We will never relegate clients to being just numbers.
- Can you show me how you have performed for your clients?

Unfortunately, we are not able to show you a composite performance number because no one client is the same. We provide a different portfolio for each client so that he or she can meet their goals within their risk tolerance and timeframes. That said, we are more than happy to discuss the past performance of individual investments we have used in various scenarios to date. (Remember past performance is not an indicator of future results.)
- How are you compensated?

We are compensated primarily on a fee-basis. We do take commissions on limited insurance products offered through a sister company, BGM Financial Resources. We do not work with any variable products. Instead, we primarily offer products in term life insurance, disability insurance and long-term-care insurance. Outside of insurance services we do not take commissions.
- Will you work with me on an engagement basis only, not managing my money?

The short answer is yes, but remember that we would prefer to work with clients who want us to be their main financial advisor. If we only work with people on a project here and there, we can never be sure that the client implements the plan or receives the necessary help to obtain the stated outcome.
- Can you provide references?

We would be happy to provide references once we have had an initial meeting and a prospective client indicates interest in our services We ask that reference calls be made within 48 hours so that our current clients’ time is respected.
- I would rather have you pick individual stocks. Would you do that for me?

No. We believe that our forte is in advising clients, not picking stocks. Our investment process allows us to screen for the best investments in each asset class. There is no way we could give the same time and expertise that a professional fund manager can provide for each asset class.
- How should I judge your performance?

Sitting on your side of the table, you should judge us by how well we communicate and collaborate with you, how well we address your overall planning needs, how well we prepare you for the softer side of the next steps in your life, how much trust you put in us, and finally, the performance of your portfolio in relation to your goals. Our service should be judged on those elements which we can control; knowing that over time investment returns will follow.
